By registering to the EBT website, you agree to the collection and use of information with regard to this statement. The EBT does not use the collected data for other purposes than those described in the Privacy Statement, unless written permission is given. The EBT is committed to ensuring data protection according to the current General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’) law.

Collection of personal information
The EBT collects and documents your personal information when creating an account to the website. The following information is mandatory:
– First and last name
– Email Address
– Phone number
– Address, zip code, and city
– Language
– International student (yes/no)
– Study, study year, and educational institution
– IBAN, and IBAN account owner (in case your bank account is from a SEPA country)
– Profile picture
– CV (in case of registration for CV selection activities)
– Anonymous CV
Additional information can be filled in voluntarily, to optimize participation experience during the EBT.
Usage of personal information
Personal information is saved for the following reasons: the organization of the various activities during the EBT 2023, communicating relevant information before, during, and after the event via phone and/or mail, and improving our services. We will only store your personal information for the time strictly necessary. Per edition, we will gather your information again. Your information will be stored for a maximum duration of three years for organizational purposes. If information is passed on to a third party, this will be explicitly mentioned, e.g. when your CV is sent to a company. CV’s will be deleted 10 working days after the last activity of the EBT 2023. If you give permission, in our registration form, to the companies that you subscribed for to save your CV on their systems according to their terms and conditions, the 10 working days term does not apply anymore.
Access to personal information
Only the board of the EBT has access to your personal information and will use this for the sole purpose of organizing the EBT 2023. When subscribing for CV selection activities, your CV will be shared with the respective company.
You have the right to request the information we collect about you. If you wish to do this, you can send an email to: [email protected]. We are able to send you an overview of the information we store about you. In addition, you always have the right to request the deletion or adjustment of your personal information.
Pictures
When agreeing to the terms and conditions, you agree that the EBT is authorized to take pictures of you during the activities of the EBT 2023. In addition, you allow the EBT to use your pictures for promotional material. When you explicitly want your picture(s) to be removed, you can send a request to [email protected].
Cookies
The EBT website uses functional cookies necessary for a well functioning website. You can set your web browser to not save cookies anymore. In addition, you can delete all information previously gathered by your browser.
Furthermore, Google Analytics cookies are placed on the website. Google tracks and reports the use of our website and reports this to us. This information is used to get an insight into user behaviour on our website. We use this information to make the website more user-friendly.

Our website (www.ebtilburg.nl) may contain links to the sites of our partners. If you click on a third-party link, you will be redirected to that website. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Reporting obligation data leak
The EBT organization is obligated to report any major data leaks. A data leak is a confirmed incident in which sensitive, confidential or otherwise protected data has been accessed and/or disclosed in an unauthorized way. If a data leak occurs, the EBT organization is obliged to notify the involved parties. This will be done within 72 hours. After a data leak, the EBT will investigate where the leak could have occurred and how a similar leak in the future can be prevented.
